Capital Itinerary. CDMX Hall of Governors is a panoramic reflection on the rulers that Mexico City has had over the years.
It is not limited to presenting a mere inventory or directory of the city’s rulers, but through a well-organized design, an articulation of the ruler with the events and processes that marked his administration (infrastructure, events, and laws) is established, fostering a vivid interpretation that reflects on a scale the complex relationship with those governed.
From 1823 to the present, Mexico City has had different mayors, depending on the fluctuations in its legal structure: 1823 – 1928: 154 Governors 1929 – 1997: 24 Department Heads 1997 – 2024: 7 Heads of Government Source: Historical Archive of the Federal District. General guide.
