Curaduría: César Carrillo

September 2024

Three areas of design were explored as possible sites of decolonisation: narrative, appearance and visitor experience, combining strategies that prioritise an exercise in decolonisation that starts from the discipline of design itself.

As Bruno Brulon mentions, we need to recognise that the authority of the museum is no longer centred on the unique perspectives and beliefs of the curator, but must be built horizontally, through processes of knowledge exchange, intercultural exchange and dialogic education, all of which translate into a deeper transformation and participation of all parties involved.
