Pemex Corporate Museum

1922-1937

Curaduría: TDM with the assistance of Isabelle Rosseau and Joel Álvarez de la Borda

May 2016

The first corporate museum created by TDM was for the most important company in the country. It was an exhibition in the style of a timeline that traces 80 years through which millions of Mexicans have built the history of Pemex (Mexican oil company) and have forged one of the most emblematic institutions of our national identity.

Knowing the history of Pemex is a source of pride and a recognition of the work and effort of all the people who have built the legacy of Mexico’s largest company.

The design of the furniture and the infographic work presented is a faithful example of the way TDM solves a project in an integral way. Sustainability, modularity and flexibility to adapt and itinerate the museum to different venues and a dynamic museographic device that allows information to be available through multiple media. In a formal and conceptual way, it contains the gaze within the module while offering transparency and vanishing points towards the rest of the informative spaces.
